The San Diego Original Black Panther Party for Community Empowerment (SDOBPPCE) introduces the Cross Border Justice Program to reform the justice system by addressing the alarming issue of individuals who are wrongfully detained at or near the U.S.-Mexico border. This initiative responds to a growing need for cross-border legal advocacy, community-based accountability, and holistic reentry support for those unjustly caught in the complexities of the border justice system.

Individuals, particularly from marginalized communities, are disproportionately affected by wrongful detentions and legal missteps due to racial profiling, immigration confusion, language barriers, and lack of access to proper legal representation. These issues are heightened at border entry points where rapid decisions often lead to human rights violations and long-term injustices.

Mission & Vision:

CBJ aims to reform unjust practices through direct advocacy, legal assistance, public awareness campaigns, and international collaboration. We seek to ensure that individuals are not criminalized based on race, economic status, or immigration status, and that all people receive equal justice regardless of where they cross borders.

This initiative aligns with the original mission of the Black Panther Party: to defend and protect oppressed people by any means necessary. By confronting modern-day injustices at and beyond our borders, the San Diego Original Black Panther Party for Community Empowerment continues its legacy of radical love, community empowerment, and transformative justice.
